2009
We have all been very busy here at school getting our school prepared for the New Year. 2008 has been an incredible year and our school has had some amazing results. We were state finalists in Showcase with our Early Literacy Intervention programs with our school being awarded $6 000 in funding. This money will allow us to continue our programs into bigger and better formats.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the students, parents and teachers of this wonderful school for making my time at Pacific Pines such an enjoyable experience.

Thank you to the fantastic parents and families for your support, not only for me, but also for your children and the school. Thank you to all the staff who do such a great job to make this school what it is.

Last, but certainly not least, thank you to the children of Pacific Pines. What a wonderful group of students. Whilst I am excited and delighted to be able to play a major role in the future of Canungra State School, I will always look back at my time here with great fondness. It has been a privilege to be a part of the Pacific Pines Primary community.

Swimming Carnival

On Wednesday 19 November the 4-7 Pacific Pines Swimming Carnival was held at the Runaway Bay Super Swim Centre.

The participation rate was high, with most students competing in a 50m or 25m event. The behaviour of the students during the day was excellent. I would like to thank the staff at Pacific Pines for the great job they did and thank the parents who came along to support their children. Rafter finished with 922 points, Hackett 834 points, Freeman 758 points and Norman 609 points.

Congratulations

Three students from Pacific Pines Primary school recently received trophies for being overall end of year winners for the "Mike Hatches Motorcycle Club'. The results were:

Tayler from Year 7	1st 65cc B Grade
Broc from Year 3	1st Division 2,50cc A Grade
Locky from Year 2	2nd Division 2,50cc A Grade

Congratulations to these students.

Payment Options

Payment options can be viewed on the schools website: www.pacificpinesss.eq.edu.au as Pacific Pines State School now offers several ways to pay for excursions, camps etc. If you choose to use internet banking please ensure your reference includes your child's name, class and the reference code for the activity to enable us to match payments on our system.

Please ensure payment is made by the cut off date to enable us to verify payments. Any credits we cannot match to an activity or made after a cut off date will be credited to any outstanding monies owed to the school.

Uniform Shop Hours

If you The Uniform Shop will be open on the following dates:

Tuckshop

PLEASE NOTE the Tuckshop will be CLOSED on the last day of school, FRIDAY 12TH DECEMBER, 2008. Sorry for any inconvenience.

The P&C would like to thank all parents and students for supporting our tuckshop in 2008.
